In certain circumstances you may want to manually opt-out a recipient. Either if they have used an opt-out mechanism incorrectly or they have requested to be opted-out by another method such as a phone call. There are a few different methods of opting out manually. IMPORTANT: If you have contacts across many lists, if your Global Opt Out list is turned on, the contact will be automatically suppressed on all lists. Search for a contact in a list Go to the list your contact is on and search by name or number, then click the Opt-out link in the Actions column. Review Responses tab in send report and opt-out directly You can also review the responses tab of your message send report. Here you may find people requesting opt-out byt not using the correct STOP command. It is good practice to go through responses to message sends and opt-out contacts like this. To process click Opt-out link in the Actions column. Add contacts directly to Global Opt Out List. You can also add contacts directly to the Global Opt Out list. This will remove the contact from any list it is a member of automatically. Click the Add Contact link from within the Global Opt Out list in your Contacts section and add the number.
