Hi,

I've spent ages trying to figure this out with no luck.

Could you please advise how to setup a html page to use as my own redirect.

I know the text on the page will be dictated by the redirect page url (ie example.com/post?contact-result=OK) but what is the code to place on the redirect page?

Thanks
Phil

Hi Phil,

In the line <input type="hidden" name="redirect_url" value="http://burst.transmitsms.com/post" />

Change the value to the URL of your custom page.

You must be able to create and host your own HTML page to do this.

Hi Brad,

I have no issue there - that's the simple part. I need to be able to get
the dynamic responses on the HTML Lansing page I create.

For example when someone opts in to a list they are redirected to a page
that says "your number 04XX XXX XXX was successful". This message is based
on the code after the '?' in the URL (ie example.com/post?contact-result=OK).
If *contact-result* equals something different, a different message is
given (such as "that number is already subscribed").

I need to know the code to put on my HTML landing page to do that. Might be
one for your programmers??

Cheers,
Phil

Thanks Brad

Hi Phil, here is comments back from dev team.

Hi Brad,
we weren't reporting the result of addition. I added 'duplicate' param there.
if he provides his page for redirection, he should check for following GET variables
1) contact-result - call result, 4 possible values (NO_OPT_IN - opt in checkbox not checked, NO_LIST - invalid list_id or list has been removed, BAD_MOBILE - mobile not formatted correctly or is invalid or OK - contact successfully added)
if result is OK then
2) mobile - number user added
3) duplicate - flag if the number is duplicate.
here is a snippet for his page

if($_GET['contact-result']=='OK')
{
echo 'Welcome, '.($_GET['duplicate']=='true':'returning':'new').' client';
}

Hi Brad,

Thanks for that snippet of code, however I have no idea how to "check for
the following GET variables". I'd appreciate if you could send me the
entire code snippet.

To ensure I am making sense...

I want to create my own landing page with responses like the burst landing
page - see your working pages below. If you click the links you will see
the responses I am referring to (in bold).

http://burst.transmitsms.com/post/?contact-result=NO_OPT_IN message on your
page is *You must opt-in to join this list.*

http://burst.transmitsms.com/post/?contact-result=OK message on your page
is *Your mobile has successfully been added to our SMS mailing list*

http://burst.transmitsms.com/post/?contact-result=NO_LIST message on your
page is *Sorry that list could not be found or no longer exists.*

http://burst.transmitsms.com/post/?contact-result=BAD_MOBILE message on
your page is *Sorry but your mobile number does not seem to be in the
correct format or is for an unsupported country.*

Simply put, I have *no idea* how to get my HTML redirect page to display
the above messages. I added the following code to my page (between the body
tags) and all it did was display a blank page.

<script>
if($_GET['contact-result']=='OK')
{
echo 'Welcome, '.($_GET['duplicate']=='true':'returning':'new').' client';
}
</script>

Thanks,
Phil
